Due to an increase in workload we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter/Team to join our company, starting from the New Year. The position is being offered on a self employed basis, through CIS preferably. Work including both surveys and fitting, experience required. Pay to be negotiated based on experience and competency.
Responsibilities
Measure and mark window openings accurately to ensure proper fitment.
Remove old or damaged windows carefully, ensuring minimal damage to surrounding structures.
Install new windows using appropriate hand tools and power tools, ensuring secure and level fitting.
Seal and insulate windows to maximise energy efficiency and weather resistance.
Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure correct installation specifications are met.
Work with other trades such as roofing, carpentry, masonry, and plastering teams as part of integrated construction projects.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Conduct surveys on upcoming jobs giving precise information to assist installs.
Experience
Proven experience in window fitting.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques used in window installation.
Knowledge of schematics, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
Prior exposure to working on-site within diverse construction environments is preferred.
