Job Description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking, flexible individual to join our expanding maintenance team. Your role will include a mix of commercial cleaning including gutters using a long-reach suction pole and restricted access equipment including ladders, platforms and MEWPs. Other commercial cleaning of block paving, moss removal, window cleaning and cleaning of external fascias and claddings of industrial units. With a variety of other building maintenance and repairs works (Nationally).

Maintenance/cleaning will be at the following types of establishments:
Schools, retail parks, apartment blocks and business park developments.

You will also be responsible for:
- Inspecting projects and reporting on all issues that are found on site.
- Following a job specification and executing it to the client's satisfaction.
- Liaising with clients when on site to ensure their approval.
- Maintaining equipment and vans.
- Conducting works at height using a MEWP and/or working platforms.
- To maintain safe workplace practice and procedures in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety legislation

Essential Requirements:
- A full UK driving license
- Comfortable with long hours and travel times
- Flexibility with working hours and willing to work weekends

Desirable:
- Health and Safety qualification
- IPAF certified
- PASMA Certified
- Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
- Skills and knowledge in at least one construction trade
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Highly organised

Please note that a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be required upon acceptance of this position.

Working hours are Monday to Friday - although a degree of flexibility will be required due to the nature of the business. Overtime is agreed in advance at increased rates of pay.
In return the successful applicant will receive a salary of 11.00-13.00 per hour depending on skill set and experience. This will include the use of the company vehicle after a qualifying period.
