Draken Europe is looking for a skilled and safety-focused

Wire Person

to join our aircraft maintenance team on roughly a year-long contract. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in cable loom assembly, testing, and installation, who thrives in a regulated, high-performance environment.

As a Wire Person, you will be responsible for the

assembly, testing, and installation of cable looms and harnesses

in both workshop and aircraft settings. You'll ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities



Assemble cable harnesses using soldering, crimping, and other methods per technical drawings and specifications. Conduct stage testing and inspections during assembly, maintaining accurate documentation. Install cable looms on aircraft and components, ensuring quality and compliance. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure tooling and equipment are calibrated and serviceable. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational demands. Support continuous improvement initiatives and Aerotrac implementation. Adhere to all SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) and company procedures. Report hazards and contribute to a culture of safety-first.

Key Deliverables



Safe and compliant completion of all tasks. Accurate recording of production and maintenance activities. Adherence to regulatory standards and internal procedures. Efficient delivery of scheduled and unscheduled tasks.

Core Skills & Experience



Experience in cable loom manufacture, installation, and testing. Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring schedules, and bills of materials. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Experience working in a production or hangar environment. Good leadership and motivational qualities. Commercial awareness and ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements



Aviation apprenticeship or equivalent experience. Computer literate and proactive problem-solver. Strong team player with a customer-focused mindset. Willingness to work flexible hours to meet operational needs. Eligible to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
