In this role, you'll contribute to groundbreaking research in 6G optimization and network digital twins. Working alongside leading researchers, you'll help translate fundamental insights into innovations that advance Nokia's next-generation intelligent systems.

Date: May to August, 2026
Location: Onsite, in Cambridge UK
Responsibilities:
You will work with our research team to conduct high-quality fundamental studies and translate discoveries into impactful Nokia applications.
Likely focus areas include:
Integration of advanced antenna technologies with wireless resource algorithms.
AI approaches for wireless beamforming and user scheduling.
Network digital twins for predicting 6G network performance.
System-level simulation of advanced wireless networks.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for a PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proficiency in wireless networking.
Hands-on experience in a network simulation project.
Strong coding skills with a focus on high-quality, maintainable code.
Collaborative mindset and experience working in a large team environment.
Nice-To-Have:
Familiarity with AI-based wireless optimization algorithms.
Familiarity with 3D modeling and raytracing tools.
Exposure to software development best practices and methodologies.
