We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Wireman to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling cable looms, wiring harnesses, and full box build assemblies to customer specifications, IPC standards, and internal quality procedures.
Duties
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions.
Assemble and wire complex cable looms, harnesses, and electrical panels.
Carry out box build assembly work, including mounting components, routing wiring, and completing final assembly.
Crimp, strip, and solder wires and terminals to IPC-A-620/Class 2 & 3 standards
Conduct basic testing and quality checks using appropriate test equipment.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and comply with health and safety requirements.
Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives within the production team.
Accurately complete build documentation and quality documentation.
Qualifications
Proven experience in wire and cable assembly, ideally in an EMS or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Previous experience with electro-mechanical assemblies or box build in a regulated industry (e.g. medical, defence).
Experience working to ISO 13485 or AS9100 quality standards.
Ability to understand technical drawings and schematics.
Skilled in hand soldering, crimping, and cable preparation.
Familiarity with IPC-A-620 and IPC-A-610 standards (certification is a plus but not essential).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Flexible and willing to learn new processes and technologies.
Good working knowledge of MS office.
