Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Develop new menu items and contribute to seasonal menu changes based on local ingredients.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Skills
Proven supervisory experience in a culinary environment.
Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Proficient in cooking methods, presentation skills, and culinary creativity.
Extensive kitchen experience with a solid understanding of hospitality principles.
Demonstrated leadership abilities to effectively manage kitchen operations.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
