Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Wok Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with a flair for creating delicious meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Monitor food presentation and quality before serving to ensure it meets restaurant standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: 488.40-550.00 per week
