To coordinate and manage the Women in Work project for the benefit of MK ACT clients, supporting them on their pathway to finding work or work-related opportunities.
To maintain strong relationships with funders and partners, ensuring project delivery meets agreed targets and supports client recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a strong relationship with MKCC (main funder) by providing monthly written reports, a final report at the end of the funding period, and attending meetings when requested.
Ensure the project meets agreed MKCC targets and deliverables.
Write detailed and accurate bids for future project funding.
Draft effective communications to promote the project and generate funds (brochures, social media content, scripts for videos, leaflets, presentations, posters, quarterly trustee reports).
Seek out and manage relationships with existing and future project partners (e.g., Key Business Skills, John Lewis, Acorn Early Years Foundation, Pluxee, MK College, Works for Us).
Plan and coordinate MK ACT internal course offers and Women in Work events to reach community clients.
Monitor and accurately record project budgets.
Carry out administrative tasks such as managing diaries, monitoring repayments, recording client numbers, and maintaining accurate records on OnTrack.
Work directly with MK ACT clients (in refuge and community) through one-to-one appointments and group sessions to overcome barriers to employment and/or training.
Develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with external agencies (Job Centre, MK College, Works for Us) and all MK ACT staff.
Attend meetings, training, and regular supervision sessions as requested.
Ensure security of sensitive information in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Multi-Agency/Partnership Working:
Build and maintain strong partnerships with local businesses, training providers, and community organizations to enhance opportunities for clients.
General Responsibilities:
Work professionally and to a high standard, setting an example to colleagues and partners.
Contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes and improvements in service delivery.
Person Specification:
Understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on victims and their children.
Awareness of the importance of employment projects in the recovery process for MK ACT clients.
Experience
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Report writing experience.
Understanding of employment barriers faced by clients experiencing domestic abuse, from diverse backgrounds, and with differing needs.
