About the Team:

The Opportunity:
As the Women's First Team Operations Lead, it is your responsibility to attend all first team home and away matches, both midweek and weekend, to ensure seamless matchday operations. The successful candidate will take charge of all pre, during, and post-matchday administration, which encompasses confirming game details, coordinating with travel partners, compiling match official reports, and managing media accreditations. Acting as the central point of contact for all home matchday event inquiries--especially regarding security--this role is vital in maintaining a safe and organized environment for players, staff, and fans alike.
In addition to matchday responsibilities, the candidate will manage the Player Appearance Request Process, ensuring that all player appearances align with club requirements.
This role also supports the onboarding of new signings and oversees the pre-season friendly program, assisting players with accommodation queries and leading the induction process for new signings. This role is accountable for managing the Women's Football budget and fostering relationships with facility providers, ensuring alignment with the annual maintenance plan. Additionally, the candidate will attend league competition meetings, support the General Manager in player recruitment and contracting, and maintain collaborative relationships with the Women's Academy Manager and stakeholders at the Academy of Light, including the Foundation of Light and Sunderland AFC Women's Academy.
What We Ask For:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess previous experience in an operations or administrative role, demonstrating a strong understanding of the logistical and organizational demands associated with running a successful sports program.
Additionally, experience working with female athletes is highly desirable, as it provides valuable insights into the unique challenges and dynamics faced by women in sports.
A genuine passion for promoting women's sports and a commitment to elevating the profile of female athletes will be integral to success in this role.
Lastly, previous experience in elite sports environments is essential.
You will be required to obtain an Enhanced DBS through SAFC.
