Bicester Health Centre is one of the longest established GP practices in Bicester, conveniently located near the town centre and just a short walk from Bicester Village Retail Centre. We proudly serve over 19,000 registered patients with a dedicated clinical team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff. The practice is one of three involved in the Bicester Primary Care Network.

Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse to join our dynamic team at Bicester Health Centre. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical operations to ensure the well-being of our patients.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking for additional ad-hoc work and we anticipate that the clinics will be

on a monthly basis, for a day.

The hours for this role are flexible, as long as they are within the practice's core opening hours (Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 6pm).

The successful candidate will be supported by one of our Health Care Assistants.

This will be a zero-hour contract role. Holiday pay will be included in addition to the hourly rate advertised.

Responsibilities

To carry out womens health services including:

- Contraceptive implant fittings and removals

- Contraceptive and non-contraceptive IUCD (coil) fittings and removal

- Vaginal ring pessary fittings and removals

Requirements

Registered Nurse with current non-restricted UK NMC registration Relevant contraceptive +/- menopause qualification Evidence of recent professional development To work under Patient Group Directives (PGDs) (if not a prescriber) Trained and competent in fitting and removal of Implants Trained and competent in the management, fitting and removal of IUDs FSRH registered IUCD fitter
