Job Description

British Red Cross work experience placements include a combination of office administration and work on discrete, short-term projects, depending on the person's areas of interest and skill. Work experience typically takes place on a full-time basis for one or two weeks. Work experience placements give an opportunity to gain experience within different departments and an insight into the work of the British Red Cross. This is a work experience placement for a volunteer customer service assistant in a local British Red Cross Charity shop. The expected start date for the placement is 20 January 2026 and the placement will run for 17 days. The placement location will be the British Red Cross shop in Belfast (BT7 1JQ). Do you have a passion for fashion? Is vintage your vibe? Could you give a few hours weekly in our shop to help out? If so then we need you! We are currently looking for volunteers to join our team and help sort, display and sell the treasures and gems that adorn our rails. Typical tasks on the work experience may include: Sorting donations, processing stock, visual displays, helping customers, general upkeep of the shop. We are looking for people who are friendly, creative, and enthusiastic to learn and develop their skills further.
