About the opportunity:

The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield\xe2\x80\x99s 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original waste plants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd\xe2\x80\x99s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy waste stores, the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo.

For our site team at Sellafield, we are seeking a Work Pack Manager.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure content of Construction Work Packs (CWP) for CS&A, CE&I and mechanical are managed
  • Liaise between the engineering/ construction team with regard to Engineering Order (EO) issued documents.
  • Prepare the CS&A, CE&I and Mechanical disciplines EO\xe2\x80\x99s in line with all company processes
  • Manage deliverables from subcontract organisations, which form part of the CS&A & Mechanical work packages.
  • Ensure site have access to design information i.e. EO\xe2\x80\x99s, drawings, specifications etc. as early as possible
  • Monitor progress against agreed scope and advise the construction team of any deviations.
  • Monitor site design deviations etc. Concessions, Production Permits, Defect Notices and TQ\xe2\x80\x99s which are raised on site which may affect the construction program.
  • Ensure full closeout of CWP and EO is mutually commensurate with planning aligned to the schedule and Safety Transfer Certificate (STC).
  • Ensure Life Time Records are concurrently captured and inputted into the applicable group and chapter, this requires liaison with the Project LTR team and Quality PQE\xe2\x80\x99s.

  • Construction experience. CSCS Card (Manager Level)
  • Minimum Diploma/Degree level construction competency based qualification.
  • Understands the importance of quality assurance processes and compliance
