JOB TITLE: Work Placement Assessor - Early Years



LOCATION: King's Lynn and Wisbech



HOURS: 37 per week



SALARY: 29,267 - 30,644 per annum (inclusive of a non-contractual recruitment and retention allowance of 1,956 per annum, reviewed annually)




CWA are recruiting for a new Work Placement Assessor, focusing on our King's Lynn- and Wisbech-based learners studying towards Early Years and teaching-assistant qualifications from Level 1 to T-Level. In this fast-paced environment, you will work closely with the Early Years work placement coordinator and with curriculum staff, students and employers to observe, assess, grade and record our students' demonstrated competencies in placement in accordance with College policies and processes and the awarding bodies' set criteria and timeframes.


Thanks to the successful launch of our T-Level in Education and Early Years on the King's Lynn and Wisbech sites, you will be involved in assessing T-Level Structured Observations for the Early Years Educator and the Assisting Teaching occupational specialisms. Our ideal candidate is an experienced Early Years assessor with additional professional experience in primary education. You enjoy working with young people to guide them in their journey towards vocational competence and wider employability with enthusiasm, patience and positivity. You are a good communicator who is comfortable liaising with a diverse range of settings in three counties, helping our department maintain and strengthen our links to employers. You enjoy working collaboratively in a team of dedicated professionals but also value working autonomously as you manage your caseload. You are conscientious, committed to inclusion and adaptable in order to meet the needs of both the student and our placement partners to ensure the best opportunity for the student to succeed in their course.
