We are looking for a proactive and organised Work Placement Coordinator to support the HND in Healthcare Practice (Integrated Health and Social Care) Health and Social Care Practice (Social and Community Work). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of work placements, ensuring effective supervision, and contributing to the delivery of lectures within the programme. This is a key role in helping students gain hands-on experience in healthcare settings and in maintaining high academic standards.

. Key responsibilities Work Placement Arrangements and Supervision
3.1. Ensure supervision arrangements are appropriate before students enter placements. 3.2. Identify and allocate a placement supervisor for each setting during students' placements to monitor and contribute to the continuous assessment of their progress.
3.3. Assess students during their practice on placement.
3.4. Ensure and support students in developing and maintaining a Practice Learning, Assessment, and Development (PLAD) portfolio.
3.5. Monitor and facilitate the development of students' professional skills and attributes to support progression in the sector to higher levels of education and/or wider employment prospects.
3.6. Ensure college policies, procedures, and manuals are embedded in the mandatory work placement arrangements according to the Pearson specification.
3.7. Oversee and report on students' progress in their mandatory placements to the line manager, PEG, and other boards and committees.
3.8. Ensure that all students meet assigned guided learning hours and total work placement hours are achieved following the PLAD guideline and Pearson specification. Enhancing Students' Employability and Job Opportunities
3.9. Conduct research to learn the knowledge, skills, competencies, and other credentials employers expect from graduates.
3.10. Network with local employers and institutions where students and graduates can perform placements, internships, externships, or job-shadowing.
3.11. Plan and arrange campus hiring events, such as job fairs and employer forums, to give students exposure to potential jobs and help local companies find suitable candidates.
3.12. Organize job search skills training sessions, including CV writing, applying for jobs, and orientations for students.
3.13. Establish contact with officials of recruitment agencies to strategize the enhancement of student employability. Teaching

4 Education and Qualifications:
4.1. Master's degree in healthcare or a related field.
4.2. Relevant professional certifications in career development or coaching.
4.3. A statutorily registered healthcare professional such as a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered allied health professional or a Nursing and Midwifery Council registered nurse or midwife is preferrable
