About the role:



The Work Placement Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting students to secure and complete work placements as part of their study programme. This includes coordinating industry placements for T-Level students, ensuring all placements align with curriculum requirements and industry standards. The role involves working closely with students, staff, and employers to facilitate meaningful work-based learning opportunities that enhance employability skills and career progression.

Champion Student Safety and Compliance Excellence


Lead on all aspects of safeguarding and health & safety by ensuring every placement is fully vetted and compliant; creating safe, supportive environments where students can thrive.

Match Talent with Opportunity


Work closely with Course Managers to match students' skills, interests, and aspirations with the right employers, ensuring meaningful placement experiences that build confidence and real-world capabilities.

Empower Learners Before, During & After Placement


Be a key source of support for students throughout their placement journey; delivering engaging inductions, resolving issues as they arise, and helping learners reflect and grow from each experience.

Drive Quality and Impact in Every Placement


Collaborate with curriculum teams to deliver a gold-standard placement programme; monitoring progress, maintaining meticulous records, and ensuring every experience contributes to learners' long-term employability.

Start Date:

The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Gateshead.
