Workboat Coxswain Field Support Vessel Biot
Job Description
The Company currently have a vacancy for a Workboat Coxswain on its ERRV/MRV based in BIOT (crew change Male, Maldives).
Candidates must hold either Master (<200GT) CoC or RYA Yachtmaster Offshore / Ocean (Commercially Endorsed) certification.
Workboat Coxswain is responsible for the following:
Taking charge and command of Workboat and its crew upon launch, subject to Masters orders.
Ensuring the safety of passengers on board the Workboat
General upkeep and local repairs of Workboat
Reporting all Workboat defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, and liaising with both regarding general upkeep of craft.
General on deck duties, as directed by the Chief Officer.
Form part of the vessel fire fighting team.
Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance.
