We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Facility Maintenance Operations Specialists at the 423rd Civil Engineering Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Alconbury, United Kingdom.
What will be your primary role?
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Civil Engineer (CE) Operations Flight Workforce Manager. You will screen and review calls, and service requests received, working with the Facility Managers to evaluate the requirements of the request, and assigning work in a priority order. You will balance work schedules for maintenance and/or repair of facilities; collecting, recording, and validating budget and real property asset information by tracking, and coordinating the execution of work requirements. You will perform quality assurance and data analysis in support of maintenance and repair optimization activities, and be responsible for administering, securing approval for, and maintaining positive control of all work requests received and in process. You will manage and execute the Facility Manager Program, develop training and maintain data in support of the program. You will be responsible for receiving, reviewing and processing all Civil Engineering work requirements. In addition, you will execute Unit Command and Control activities during exercises and/or contingency operations.

What are the Key Skills required for this rol
e?
1. Knowledge of asset management principles and practices as it applies to operations management, requirement and optimization activities (inclusive of rules and procedures) and of operations applicable to real property management and financial management.
2. Knowledge of civil engineering work control, customer service, and operations/maintenance management procedures; knowledge of civil engineering work centers and type of work performed by each type of work center and associated computerized maintenance management and sustainment management systems, system capabilities, and economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions.
3. Skill in preparing FM program reference material and training presentation, and tracking training currency for all assigned FMs, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to brief supervisor, committees, and other groups; by gathering information; and preparing analyses of problems and reports.
4. Skill in collecting, organizing, analyzing, sorting, associating, and filtering data from one or more sources using spreadsheet, database, or other data manipulation tools (macros, formulas, pivots tables, charts) in order to portray trends, findings, visualizations and build effective presentations to support and drive decision making.
5. Knowledge of safety, security, and environmental standards, regulations and requirements and how to apply them.
What are the conditions of employment for this role?
1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on a fixed schedule (Mon-Fri 0800-1630) where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies.
7. You may be required to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays on short notice.
8. The work may require you to drive a motor vehicle, therefore a valid category B driving license is required.
9. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
10. You must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
11. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.
