We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on
Working Foreman
to join our team and support the successful delivery of our
Empty Homes Programme
.
The Role
As a Working Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating daily site activities and ensuring that refurbishment works are completed to a high standard, safely and on programme.
This is a practical, site-based role where you will also
personally complete snagging and finishing works on properties
, including final presentation tasks
post-client handover
, to ensure homes are fully ready for occupation.
You will support the Site Supervisor by carrying out structured inspections, monitoring quality, and coordinating trades to maintain consistent delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections using Work in Progress reports to monitor quality, safety and progress on site.
Coordinate and support trade teams to ensure works are delivered to the required standard and within agreed timescales.
Personally complete snagging and finishing works prior to and following client handover, ensuring properties meet handover standards.
Take responsibility for the final presentation of each property, including decoration, flooring and cleaning sign-offs where required.
Identify and record defects and variations, providing clear information to the Site Supervisor for timely resolution.
Promote a safe working environment and ensure all health and safety requirements are met.
Communicate effectively with trade teams, colleagues and, where appropriate, residents.
Requirements
Strong trade background, ideally with multi-trade experience (kitchen, bathroom and void works advantageous).
Proven experience as a foreman, lead tradesperson or similar hands-on supervisory role.
Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality finishes and snagging.
Ability to manage your own workload and maintain high standards under time pressures.
SSSTS, First Aid and Asbestos Awareness are desirable (training can be provided).
Full UK driving licence is required.
