About The Role:

Synergize delivers responsive maintenance and project works to Ministry of Defence (MOD) housing estates across London, Kent, and the Home Counties.

We are seeking a hands-on Working Supervisor to lead a team of operatives delivering responsive maintenance and minor works. You will combine trade expertise with leadership responsibilities--supervising day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements, and acting as the first point of contact for operative queries. You will also carry out maintenance and repair works within your qualified trade discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor work delivery through site visits, ensuring jobs are completed safely, to quality standards, and on time

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations, COSHH, and contract-specific requirements

Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to operatives and subcontractors

Maintain health & safety records, including permits-to-work, near-miss logs, and incident reports, escalating as required

Act as the primary point of contact for operatives' operational queries

Oversee weekly checks on tools, equipment, and materials

Manage team performance, including absence, holiday, and performance reviews, implementing development or corrective plans when needed

Support the Delivery Manager with operational and administrative tasks

Carry out maintenance and repairs in your trade discipline (e.g., plumbing, electrical, joinery, general building)

Provide technical guidance, assist in fault diagnosis, and resolve complex issues

About You:

Proven experience in a supervisory or lead operative role within property maintenance or construction, ideally in MOD or secure estate environments

Recognised trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3) in a relevant discipline

Strong ability to coordinate reactive and planned works in a high-compliance environment

In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work

Competent in using CAFM/job management systems (e.g., Maximo, Optimise) and standard IT tools

SSSTS or SMSTS certified

Full UK Driving Licence

Eligible for, or already holding, Security Clearance (SC)

As a Scheduler, you will play a key role within a dedicated team responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance works via the client's asset management system, Maximo.

You will lead a team of operatives delivering responsive maintenance and minor works to MOD housing estates, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard. The Working Supervisor will be hands-on, combining trade skills with supervision, coordinating daily activities, supporting compliance, and acting as the first point of contact for operative queries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 38,000.00-45,000.00 per year
