Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Working Workshop Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards and taking part on the shop floor to get projects complete. This position requires strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage and supervise a team effectively.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers on-site to ensure tasks are completed in accordance with project specifications. Manage workflow and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring optimal productivity and quality of work. Conduct regular inspections of work areas to maintain safety standards and compliance with regulations. Provide training and support to team members, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development. Communicate effectively with management regarding project progress, challenges, and resource needs. Assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise during the work process, implementing solutions promptly. Work on the shop floor with a large number of machinery

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the Steel industry. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and management. Ability to lead by example, motivating staff to achieve their best performance. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry is essential. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
