Description and requirements

Skanska, one of the world's largest development and construction companies, dates back 135 years and had a 2021 revenue of around 12.5 billion. We have 3,300 experts in the UK alone -- could joining us be your next career move?

A properly cleaned, ventilated and heated room makes a real difference to a patient's wellbeing and recovery. Skanska's teams support frontline workers in hospitals across the country by managing and reducing hospital energy use, cutting carbon emissions and lowering waste disposal costs. Our Global Healthcare Centre of Excellence shares best practice from over 400 projects worldwide to deliver innovative approaches to healthcare delivery.

Our Building Services team is looking for a Work Coordinator to join the team on a project in London.

Purpose of the role; To coordinate the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and small works across the hospital estate, ensuring compliance with the PFI hard services contract while minimising disruption to clinical services.

What you'll do:

Plan and schedule PPM: manage asset-based schedules in the CAFM system to meet statutory and contractual requirements with minimal clinical disruption. Triage and manage reactive works: log, prioritise and track reactive maintenance and small works to meet agreed response and rectification times. Coordinate supply chain and procurement: raise purchase orders, instruct package managers and manage subcontractor access and performance to deliver works to specification and on time. Monitor contract performance: track KPIs and SLAs, produce monthly reports for contract meetings and escalate high?priority or recurring issues. Drive compliance and continuous improvement: identify failures to meet obligations, lead root?cause reviews and implement corrective actions to improve delivery efficiency. Maintain accurate records: ensure all tasks are recorded and closed in the CAFM system and support audits, lifecycle planning and contract governance.

What you'll bring to the role

Experience in facilities coordination or building services with strong knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and compliance requirements. Practical experience with CAFM systems (e.g., Concept Evolution, Planon, Maximo) and strong organisational and communication skills. Customer-focused approach with sensitivity to clinical priorities and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Desirable: experience working on PFI contracts, knowledge of HTMs and SFG20, and IOSH or equivalent health & safety training.

Working location and hours London -- hours and on?call arrangements as required by the contract.

What we offer A competitive package, career development opportunities and the chance to work on meaningful healthcare projects that improve patient environments and reduce carbon impact.
