Job Overview


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Workshop Ambassador & Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately & do full time hours for August & September - there may be the option to reduce to part time after this.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading our handbag making workshops and providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and contributing to a positive experience. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques while maintaining an organised and welcoming store environment.

Duties



Lead our handbag making workshops Guide customers through the process of making their unique handbag Inform customers of the history of Harris Tweed and explain the features of their unique bag choices Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Sell products by demonstrating features and benefits, ensuring customers are well-informed. Upsell additional products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain an organised sales floor by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring cleanliness. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner. Process transactions accurately using the till system, including basic maths for handling cash and card payments. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service. Stay updated on product knowledge to effectively communicate features to customers.

Requirements



Previous retail or visitor attraction experience is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Bilingual or multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills to manage time effectively during busy periods. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. A positive attitude with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.

Pay: 13.00 per hour
