Service Technician - Construction Equipment (Leeds)

Full-time | Permanent | Monday-Friday 7.30am-4.30pm

We are now looking for an

experienced Service Technician

to join our busy Leeds depot. This role is ideal for someone with a background in repairing, servicing, or calibrating technical, electrical, or mechanical equipment -- ideally within the

construction, surveying, or instrumentation sectors

.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out safety checks, testing, maintenance, and calibration of survey and safety equipment for both hire and customer-owned items Complete all service and calibration documentation (digital and physical) accurately and efficiently Manage workshop workloads, prioritising repairs to ensure availability of core hire equipment Maintain stock levels of spare parts and manage repair quotations and purchase orders Communicate effectively with customers by phone and email, providing technical support and updates Liaise with colleagues across PQS depots to ensure consistent service delivery nationally Attend internal and manufacturer-led training to maintain certification and technical knowledge

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in servicing, repairing, or maintaining technical/construction/survey equipment Strong IT literacy and attention to detail in documentation and reporting Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on, methodical approach Great communication and teamwork skills Full UK driving licence
