Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations in a busy manufacturing environment.
Allocate and oversee work for technicians, fabricators, and machine operators.
Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Support maintenance, repair, and fabrication of production equipment and tooling.
Monitor workshop performance, identify improvements, and implement best practices.
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Assist with staff training, performance monitoring, and development.
Liaise with engineering, production, and quality departments to maintain smooth workflow.
Skills & Experience Required
Time-served engineer or equivalent technical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, City & Guilds).
Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering workshop environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with good understanding of machining & fabrication,
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example.
Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workshop.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
