About the Role

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and technically knowledgeable

Bodyshop Workshop Controller

to join our iRG Pontypridd site. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day flow of work through the bodyshop, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will serve as the link between technicians, estimators, parts, and management, optimising productivity and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and monitor the daily workload of the bodyshop to ensure maximum efficiency. Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill, availability, and job priority. Maintain excellent communication with customers, estimators, and internal departments. Track job progression and ensure repair deadlines are met. Conduct quality control checks before vehicles move to the next repair stage or final handover. Liaise with the parts department to ensure required parts are sourced and available on time. Maintain workshop discipline, housekeeping standards, and compliance with health & safety regulations. Identify opportunities to improve workflow processes and increase productivity. Produce daily and weekly performance reports for management review. Support and mentor technicians to maintain high repair standards.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Bodyshop Controller, or senior VDA/technician role (essential). Strong understanding of body repair processes and techniques. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams. Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. A proactive, solution-focused approach. Full UK driving licence.
