WORKSHOP ENGINEER (AUDIO)



ABOUT THE ROLE







A BRIEF SUMMARY





Based in our Watford office, the Workshop Engineer (Audio) would work within the Workshop with a Team of other Workshop Engineers and Workshop Technicians.



The Workshop Engineer will have a keen interest in broadcasting technology and the ability to work effectively with varying groups of people.



Gravity Media's Engineering department delivers on our customer requirements by ensuring we are at the top of our game with the adoption of new and emerging technologies and ensure client projects are delivered on time and on budget.





WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR



To assist the Workshop Team with the testing checking of all GM rental, projects and sales audio equipment, including the cleaning , preparation, configuration, programming, 1st line maintenance and repair of audio equipment. Scheduled servicing and PAT testing. Keeping stock of necessary spare parts ; assisting the Projects Department when necessary, assistance with out of hours telephone technical support. Keeping Workshop working areas, equipment storage and preparation areas clean and organized.





THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE




Previous experience working with working in a Workshop environment and familiar with broadcast equipment would be useful but not essential Working within a team is essential Familiar with the fundamentals of electricity and electronics circuits, power supplies, audio and video processing a basic understanding of the Television signal flow, Analog and Digital audio signal processing, ADC, DAC, AES, MADI, Embedded audio DANTE etc. Fault finding to component level useful but not essential. * A relevant degree level or HNC, NVQ qualification is desirable but not essential.
