Overview

We are seeking a Workshop Fitter/Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience, preferably with an Automotive background. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that components are assembled accurately and efficiently to meet production targets. Duties

Remanufacture of steering and other chassis components. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise assembly. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fitting process. Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fitting issues.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing or automotive environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively. Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations are necessary. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Additional training will be provided to the successful candidate.
