We're seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our busy workshop, oversee our talented team of technicians, and help drive the next stage of our growth.
The Role
As Workshop Manager, you will be the key link between our customers, technicians, and management team. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring jobs are completed on time, to the highest standards, and with excellent communication throughout. Very early on we will be carrying out a refit and restructure of the business so you will be able to be involved in the core decisions of this to help shape future growth
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the workshop schedule, allocating jobs effectively and maintaining workflow efficiency
Oversee quality control for all work, from diagnostics and repairs to performance upgrades and custom builds
Support, mentor, and develop a small team of technicians, ensuring a positive and productive working environment
Liaise directly with customers, providing clear updates and managing expectations
Control stock levels, order parts, and manage suppliers
Monitor workshop KPIs and ensure profitability targets are met
Ensure health & safety standards are always upheld
About You
We're looking for someone who can lead from the front - organised, approachable, and technically knowledgeable.
You'll need:
Proven experience in a similar Workshop Controller, Workshop Manager, or senior technician role
Strong understanding of modern vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs (performance/BMW M experience desirable)
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate a small team
Commercial awareness - able to manage costs and drive efficiency
Strong communication skills with both customers and staff
Full UK driving licence
