Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a committed and professional Workshop Manager at our new Leicester Suzuki/Omoda/Jaecoo centre.

As Workshop Manager you will lead a team of technicians to ensure complete customer satisfaction measures and productivity targets are met whilst maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

The role will involve:



Working closely with the Aftersales management team to ensure every customer gets a fantastic Ron Brooks experience. Supervising and motivating our team of technicians and apprentices and proactively reviewing daily workload to seek opportunities that will help drive performance and turnover. Drive Retail and Internal work efficiently through the workshop, ensuring time keeping is prioritised. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks, resolving any issues and re-assuring customers by providing all necessary information and advice. Ensure that all working practices comply with company, health and safety and manufacturer policy. Work closely with colleagues in other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient service for all customers. Assisting technicians with technical challenges to find the right solution. Comply with Health & Safety regulations to ensure the highest standards of housekeeping and security are achieved and maintained within the workshop and surrounding areas. Working closely with the Service Manager, ensuring the Workshop and Service Team are working like clockwork. As the business grows, you will have control and responsibility of parts stock and inventory. Depending on service staff availability, you may greet customers and check them in giving the best experience face to face.

Personal requirements:



Relevant experience in the automotive industry, including previous workshop control or senior technician roles. Have good experience with Excel and other computing software. The ability to lead by example and motivate your team to achieve their targets and deliver a high standard of work. Ability to work calmly under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues across the dealership. Ability to identify and create more work opportunities and sales in an honest and compliant manner. A working knowledge of automotive technology, warranty systems would be beneficial.

Pay: From 35,000.00 per year
