Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in Potgate Quarry, North Stainley, Ripon. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing our HGV fleet, Heavy Mobile Plant and Agricultural vehicles, ensuring smooth operations that support our mission of delivering top-tier construction materials.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of HGV's and heavy machinery . Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and efficiently. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to minimize downtime. Assist in the installation of new equipment when required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for equipment performance. Support safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic. Strong knowledge of HGV's, heavy machinery, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Relevant technical certifications or qualifications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Commitment to safety standards.
