Workshop MIG Welder


We are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder, working within our fabrication facilities. James Engineering is a family run business specialising in the design, fabrication & installation of secondary steelwork/retro fit works, staircases c/w handrail/balustrade, mezzanine floors, chimneys, ducting and flue support structures to name a few.
Responsibility and Duties:

Experience in working with carbon steel (3mm to 50mm) and stainless steel (3mm and above) Demonstration of previous welding experience via coding's (current or lapsed), with varying positions preferable. Ability to work from company Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) Understanding of pre weld heat treatment from WPS's and application of such. Competent welder for fillet weld and butt welds in varying joint types. Reasonable understanding of weld defects under visual inspection desirable Some plating experience desirable. A good work ethic and attitude Overtime may be required to keep pace with our full order book. Pay is negotiable depending upon experience and qualifications.
