Job Description

Qualitek Engineering is a well-established and highly regarded engineering company which seeks to be at the forefront of the Machining and Fabrication Industries. We are based, at present in Bynea, near Llanelli, approximately 800m from the A484 and only 10 minutes from the M4. We will be re-locating to the Neath area in July this year.

We have been steadily developing our business to service an extremely diverse range of sectors. Primary sectors include; Renewable Energy, Construction, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Oil & Gas, Environmental, Flood Defence, Security, Manufacturing, Automotive, Utilities etc. The work variation reflects the sectors serviced. We are especially excited about the emerging opportunities within the renewable energy sector. The organisation is significantly expanding it's machining division within existing and new markets. To achieve this we need more good people.

A new Business development plan has been introduced along with projects and contracts secured from our collaborative and committed clients and parters.

We are committed to steadily adding to our team here at Qualitek Engineering. This enables us to meet long-term customer requirements, whilst always developing our existing skilled workforce.

The successful applicants will need to be highly skilled and have a positive, 'can-do' approach to their work. You will need to be enthusiastic and committed to producing very high standards, at all times. You will need to be a dedicated team 'player', with a strong contribution to the effectiveness and efficiency of the department being essential. Development and progression within the business is encouraged, with formal and informal training an expectation

Key duties and responsibilities

Assisting with various types of engineering production*
Assembling kits of parts in preparation for final dispatch*
Working as part of a team*
Using 'stand-alone' pillar drills, lathes, milling machines (training can be provided)*
Keeping your workspace tidy*
Other general workshop duties*

Have previous engineering workshop experience*

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
