Workshop Operative
Job Description
A Door Assembler is required for assembling, fitting, and preparing doors and related components according to specifications. This includes measuring, cutting, drilling, and fastening parts using hand and power tools. The role may also involve installing hardware (hinges, locks, handles), inspecting finished products for quality, and packaging completed units for shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret works orders
Assemble doors, frames, and hardware accurately and efficiently
Operate hand and power tools safely
Perform quality checks to ensure proper fit and finish
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety and production guidelines
Skills & Qualifications:
Basic carpentry skills
Ability to read measurements and use tools
Attention to detail and quality
Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
Sileby LE12 7RZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
