Job Overview

Seeking a dedicated and skilled Workshop Operative to join our Southampton team.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in the following areas:

Buzz Saw / Cutting Machine Operating (essential). Chain Lifting Overhead Crane Operating (essential). Forklift Truck Driving (preferred).

Hourly Pay Rate:

12.50 to 13.00 (depending on experience).

Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent, Monday to Friday, 8am Start Time (40-Hours Per Week).

Immediate start available, candidates with notice periods are also welcome to apply.

Working in a workshop and warehouse environment, handling material, using various tools and equipment, ensure high-quality production standards are met.

Duties

Operate hand tools, cutting machinery, and overhead chain lift cranes. Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and inventory management. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

Proven experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment as listed above. Ability to operate various tools and equipment. Able to work a physically demanding role, duties, and responsibilities. Ability to handle materials safely and effectively in a fast-paced setting. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Must be fluent in English (written and verbal). Must be eligible to work a full-time permanent job in the UK. Forklift truck driving and training certificate (in-house or external will be considered).
