Job Description

Working within a safe, well organised, and clean environment you will help to build electronic housings, components and encapsulate products by following manufacturing and assembly procedures.

Additionally, you will ensure the smooth running of the Production Workshop room to maximise efficiency and meet the demands of the Production schedule

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:-



1. Completing assemblies by drilling, fitting, and adjusting parts



a) It is vital that the work you produce is of the highest quality.

b) Work towards departmental objectives for a more efficient and productive function

c) Completing sub-assembly metal and plastic housings and enclosures using hand and mechanical tooling.

d) Experience of general workshop tools is required but full training will be given for this new role to help the successful candidate build on their manufacturing skills.

e) Applying potting/bonding materials to encapsulate PCB's.

f) Strive to keep a clean and organised 'Lean' department and take part in continuous improvements projects to better the workshop cell.

2. Lead by example and prioritise workload based on the resources available with a view to being ahead of the Production Plan and aid the building up of completed products into stock.



a) Be a positive individual that promotes teamwork and encourage ideas that contribute to improved quality, performance, and wellbeing of all Production Operatives.

b) Have the vision to identify material shortages and equipment needs to keep the department running as efficiently as possible.

3. Maintain a safe, secure, and clean working environment



a) Follow standards & procedures to produce quality products and sub-assemblies.

b) Adhere to company Health & Safety policy and procedures, assist with reviews & execute improvements.

4. Support all other production line operatives as required



a) Learn and understand aspects of all production areas so that your skills can be used throughout the production business.

Skills / Knowledge & Competence requirements:-



Essential



- Capable of working both in a team and as an individual to meet strict deadlines.

- Quality focus

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Manufacturing experience

- Experience of workshop tools, both hand and mechanical including pillar drills and sanding machines.

- Eager, ambitious, self-starter with commitment and drive

- Team player

- Adaptable

- The ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels

- Be able to work in an organised, thorough, and safe way at all times

Desirable



- Cell/Production line leadership experience

- 5S/ 6S experience

- Laser and stud welding experience

- Electronic assembly experience

- Potting/Encapsulation experience

- Soldering skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.45 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
