To carry out the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of tractors and other agricultural machinery within the workshop, ensuring machinery is serviced to the highest standards in line with manufacturer guidelines and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of agricultural equipment including tractors, balers, sprayers, telehandlers and other machinery.
Conduct pre-delivery inspections and prepare new and used equipment for customers.
Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Maintain accurate service records and complete job cards using our app based software.
Ensure that all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Order necessary parts and liaise with the parts department as needed.
Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Provide field service support if required.
Stay up to date with new technology and attend relevant training courses as directed.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a technician or mechanic working with agricultural machinery.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with brands such as Case IH, John Deere, New Holland or similar is an advantage.
Ability to read technical diagrams and service manuals.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer literacy for diagnostics and service reporting.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Land-Based Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent (preferred).
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Working Conditions:
Workshop-based role with some potential for on-site customer visits.
Standard working hours with overtime as required during peak seasons.
Physically demanding role that may involve lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
Weekend on call work on a Rota Basis.
