Job Summary:
Upton Group Ltd, a leading provider of vending solutions in the UK, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Vending Machine Workshop Technician to join our team in Selby. The successful candidate will be responsible for the refurbishment and installation of a wide range of vending machines. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong technical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:

Refurbishment: Overhaul and refurbish vending machines to a high standard, ensuring they are ready for re-deployment or sale.

Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vending machines, including coffee machines, snack machines, and cold drink dispensers.

Installation & Uplift Working within a team to safely move equipment using the necessary lifting equipment. Full training will be provided.

Testing & Quality Control: Perform thorough testing on refurbished
machines to ensure they function correctly and meet safety standards before dispatch.

Inventory Management: Monitor workshop inventory, ensuring necessary parts and tools are maintained and organised efficiently.

Documentation: Maintain and update accurate records of work schedules and equipment setups using the company's systems.

Health & Safety: Adhere to all company and industry health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and the Workshop Manager to achieve departmental goals and support field technicians as needed.

Customer Service: Occasionally assist in troubleshooting and providing technical support to customers or field service teams.
Qualifications & Experience:

Technical Skills: Experience in repairing and maintaining vending machines or similar electro-mechanical equipment Is desirable although other relevant experience will be considered

Education: Relevant technical qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering is desirable but not essential, relevant
experience will be considered.

Problem-Solving: Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring all repairs are completed to the highest standard.

IT Skills: Basic IT proficiency to update records and communicate with team members.

Team Player: Ability to work well within a team environment and support colleagues as needed.
