Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Workshop/Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our yard, ensuring that all materials and equipment are stored appropriately. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Duties

Maintain a clean and organised yard. Assist in the loading and unloading materials and equipment. Operate various yard tools and machinery safely, including telehandlers, excavator and loaders (Training will be provided). Ensure proper storage of materials, ensuring they are easily accessible for team members. Conduct regular inspections of the yard to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs. Collaborate with team members to support overall yard operations and efficiency. Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Undertake various tasks, including measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling various materials for playground installations.

Skills

Physically fit and hard working. Knowledge of various tools and equipment desirable. Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Basic knowledge of yard maintenance tools, equipment and machinery. Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. A Proactive approach to problem-solving and safety awareness. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
