As a Worldwide Event Manager at JCB, you'll be responsible for the delivery and operations of the Worldwide Event Team. You'll oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile events, including VIP visits and international trade shows.
What does this role involve day to day?
Manage and lead the Worldwide Event Team consisting of 7 Event Managers, 6 Hospitality Team, 2 Event Logistics Team and a casual team of 20.
Allocate events across the team, providing support through training, mentoring, and objective setting.
Collaborate closely with senior internal stakeholders, including C-Suite executives, family members, and the Executive Board, to ensure world-class event delivery.
Take full operational responsibility for the JCB VIP Centre, which welcomes approximately 30,000 guests annually.
Working and adapting with different cultural working practices whilst adhering to our company H&S requirements for events.
Oversee safe and efficient event execution across all JCB locations - including factories, quarries, and estates.
Act as a key stakeholder in all events, coordinating with catering, demonstration, and divisional teams to guarantee smooth execution. Events include high-profile political and royal VIP visits.
Raise the bar and set standards across all areas of the business.
Develop and manage the global trade show calendar, supporting regional teams across EMEA, Asia, the Americas, and India with strategic advice and resources.
Manage an annual global events budget of up to 6 million, including responsibility for quarterly forecasts and financial reviews.
Work cohesively with the marketing and communication teams to ensure consistency and quality of deliver of events.
Travel both nationally and internationally to support regional teams, dealers, and customers in delivering a wide range of events--from trade shows and press events to promotional activations and training experiences.
Negotiation of suppliers to ensure best available rates when planning events and best service possible.
This will be suited to you if
You have at least 5 years of experience in event planning and delivery.
You have experience working with senior executives and stakeholders.
You possess team management experience, with a focus on leadership and staff development.
