Wrap Around Care Assistant (afterschool)
Job Description
Orchard Grove Primary School, Taunton are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person who can bring creativity, imagination and fun to the Wrap Around Care (after school) provision. You will be responsible for the planning and implementing a Wrap Around Provision for children aged 4 to 11. The provision runs from end of school at 3.15pm to 6pm. Children staying after 4.30pm are given a light tea.
Key duties include:
Ensuring Wrap Around Care records are kept up to date.
Providing a range of activities to suit a range of ages, abilities and interest.
Responsibility for ensuring the safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to carers at the end of each day
Preparing and serving snacks/refreshments for the children ensuring that hygiene, health and safety measures are met.
Job requirements
Awareness of the relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working around children and young people
A commitment to the provision of high quality childcare
