plays a vital role in delivering engaging, inclusive, and structured physical activity sessions before and after school hours, as well as during school holidays. This position supports the physical, emotional, and social development of children through sport and active play. The coach works closely with school staff, parents, and other stakeholders to create a safe, positive, and motivating environment for children of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, lead, and deliver high-quality sports and physical activity sessions as part of wraparound care (before/after school and holiday clubs).
Adapt coaching methods to suit various age groups, skill levels, and individual needs.
Promote health, fitness, teamwork, and positive behaviour through sport.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by following safeguarding and risk management procedures.
Communicate effectively with children, parents/carers, and school staff.
Maintain equipment and manage resources effectively.
Contribute to a fun, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children.

Qualifications & Experience
Level 2 or higher coaching qualification in a relevant sport (or working toward).
First Aid and Safeguarding Children certificates (or willingness to obtain).
Experience working with children in a school, sports, or childcare setting.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
