We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable

Wraparound Care Assistant

to join our team in providing high-quality after-school care for children aged 5-11. In this role, you will play an important part in creating a welcoming and supportive space where children can relax, play, and thrive at the end of the school day. You'll help plan and deliver a variety of activities, from arts and crafts and LEGO challenges to active games, ensuring all children are included, engaged, and safe. You'll also assist with preparing snacks, maintaining a tidy and organised space, and building strong relationships with both children and parents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in children's daily lives while working as part of a friendly, committed team.

Key Responsibilities:



Help organise and run the daily wraparound care provision. Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children. Lead and support after-school activities such as LEGO building, arts and crafts, and active games. Encourage positive behaviour and support children's individual needs. Maintain effective communication with colleagues, children, and parents. Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection, following all relevant policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience:



A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate. Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Safeguarding Certificate. Experience working in an educational setting. Experience working with children aged 5-11.

Desirable Qualifications and Experiences:



A relevant childcare or education qualification (e.g., Level 2/3). Play training or playwork qualifications. A passion for creativity, active play, or child development. Ability to contribute to planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.

Hours



Afternoons: 15.30-18.00

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week
