Salary: 25,989 per annum pro rata

Grade: E, SCP 6

Contract: Fixed term, 12 months, but very likely to become an established post

Hours: 25 hours per week

Location: York, North Yorkshire

At Great Ouseburn Primary School we are excited to be looking for a passionate and dedicated Before and After School Club Leader to join our team.
We're looking for someone who can run a fun, safe, and engaging environment for our children from 7.30am to 8.45am and 3:20 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, during term time.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our after school club, which includes:
Co-ordinating other staff Planning and leading a variety of creative and exciting activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, and games. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care. Building positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff. Managing administrative tasks like attendance registers, snack provision and billing. Supporting parents with their childcare needs. There may be some other administrative roles relating to the efficient running of the school.

About You

The ideal candidate will:
Be kind LOVE working with children Be focused on supporting parents Be flexible, adaptable, proactive and solution-focused Have experience working with primary school-aged children. Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or playwork (desirable but not essential). Be enthusiastic, reliable and patient. Have a commitment to providing a high-quality experience for all children.
