Purpose & Scope
To provide effective management oversight and support for the day-to-day delivery of Zest breakfast and after-school clubs, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all activities in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
To work collaboratively with the Head of Children and Families Outreach to develop team confidence, maintain clear objectives, and address any issues impacting the successful delivery of the clubs.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Team Management
To be the line manager and first point of contact for Zest Club Managers, and provide support where required for Zest Club Assistants.
To conduct regular 1:1 meetings with Club Managers to ensure support with their roles and the smooth operation of the clubs.
To arrange and deliver team meetings to review policies, procedures and for team building.
To support with the arrangement and completion of staff training plans and continuing professional development requirements.
To act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting staff in the event of any safeguarding concerns.
To ensure that the Zest Club Managers' administration tasks and paperwork is up to date and accurate in their respective club folders, including but not limited to, safeguarding documents, parent/carer contracts and evaluation and monitoring sheets (such as those used for hygiene control).
To support with recruitment of new staff including interviewing, inductions and probation reviews.
To liaise with staff regarding changes in working hours e.g. overtime/sickness and inform HR as required. Make separate point under provision management.
Provision Management
To ensure that activities are fun, enriching, and inclusive, supporting all forms of children's learning and development.
To promote positive behaviour within the clubs in line with the Zest Behavioural Policy, recognising that Club Managers may from time-to-time require support with planning appropriate interventions and strategies.
To ensure that each setting has adequate levels of staffing to remain compliant with staffing ratios, arranging relief cover when required.
To support managers with the use of the online booking system 'Pebble', and liaise with the Head of Children and Families Outreach and Valley CiDS finance team when necessary, for example, when following up on payment arrears.
Ofsted
To become familiar with Ofsted requirements for wraparound care settings via the Out of School Alliance website and the government website.
To liaise with Jonathan Brook (Trustee and registered person for Ofsted) and the Head of Children and Families Outreach regarding any notifications of Ofsted inspections.
Self-Management and Professional Development
To be responsible for the effective planning, organisation, and administration of your work.
To attend meetings / supervision sessions as requested by the Head of Children and Families Outreach.

A full UK Driving License with access to a car to enable travel to fulfil the duties of the post.
