About the role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Yard Assistant to join our team in our Mynytho branch. This is a full-time position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, and rotating Saturday shifts from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Order picking, loading of delivery vehicles or customers' cars Operating a forklift to load and unload vehicles Assisting customers with their purchases and answering their questions Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed Maintaining stock control and ensuring the yard and warehouse are kept clean and organized Performing other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

Good communication and customer service skills Good numeracy and literacy skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Physically fit as heavy lifting is required for this role Previous experience operating a forklift would be advantageous Familiarity with the building industry and materials would be beneficial
A forklift license would be preferable, but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate.
