Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our yard. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills and a proven track record in supervising teams effectively. This role is crucial for ensuring that all yard activities are conducted safely and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Duties

Supervise daily yard operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Manage and coordinate the activities of yard staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance. Conduct regular inspections of the yard to ensure cleanliness, organisation, and safety protocols are upheld. Liaise with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and address any issues promptly. Train new employees on yard procedures, equipment operation, and safety measures. Monitor inventory levels and assist in the ordering of materials as necessary. overseeing loading and unloading of lorry's for next days work

Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a yard or warehouse environment is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and other stakeholders. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to yard operations.
