Job Description

As a yard hand, you will be essential in maintaining the efficiency and organization of our yard. We are looking for an enthusiastic yard hand to work in a friendly, family run scrap yard.

This will be in a temporary contract, 3 month probationary period with possibility to become permanent.

The hours are 8-5 Monday to Friday and Saturday 8-12

This job role includes manual labour and lifting of heavy materials therefore applicants must be physically well and able.
Prior experience in the scrap metal industry is preferred but not essential.

A basic background check will be carried out on suitable applicants prior to job offer.

Job role requirements include but not limited to:

Lifting Loading & unloading of various metals Cleaning & sorting of metals Operating shearing & bailing machinery Customer service
Skills required:

Organized Good time keeping Working well in a team as well as individually Good people skills Must be hard working Trustworthy Basic reading and writing skills
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From 12.25 per hour
