Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable

Yard Operative

to join our recycling team. The role involves offloading used tyres from various company vehicles, sorting them into categories within the warehouse, and operating machinery as part of the recycling process.

This is a

hands-on, physically demanding role

, dealing with hundreds of tyres daily, so applicants must be physically fit and able to work in a busy yard environment.

You'll work closely with other team members and follow management instructions but must also be able to use your own initiative when required. General yard duties such as sweeping, pressure washing, and maintaining a clean and safe work area are also part of the role.

A

Forklift Truck Licence

is an advantage but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties

Offloading used tyres from company vehicles Sorting tyres into categories as instructed Operating recycling machinery and equipment Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area (including sweeping and pressure washing) Working as part of a team while being able to work independently when needed

Qualifications and Skills

Forklift Truck Licence -

advantageous but not essential

Physically fit and comfortable with manual dirty work Good team player with a positive can do attitude Reliable, punctual, and willing to follow safety and operational procedures
