Yard Operative (Counterbalance)

to join our Warehouse team in Banbury.



This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives in a warehouse environment and has a strong understanding of logistics, health & safety, and warehouse operations.

What You'll Do:

Safely load and unload delivery vehicles in line with daily goods-in and goods-out schedules Use the departmental system to track and process incoming vehicles efficiently Ensure pallets are stable, wrapped securely, and loaded onto the correct vehicle Report damages or contamination promptly to protect product quality Conduct daily truck safety checks and maintain cleanliness of equipment Operate handling equipment in line with training and safety regulations Support warehouse operations with general duties as required Follow all SOPs and maintain compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) Work closely with internal teams (Stock Control, Packing, Logistics) and external partners (drivers, hauliers)

What We're Looking For:

Valid

Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence

(essential) Previous experience in a busy warehouse or yard environment Awareness of warehouse health & safety and manual handling best practices Good numeracy and attention to detail Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
