Overview

Artemistone is a growing B2B supplier of quartz slabs. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operator to manage daily warehouse operations, handle quartz slabs safely, and support logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Handle quartz slabs safely using forklifts, cranes, A-frames, and other lifting equipment. Load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries. Organise the yard and warehouse, ensuring slabs are stored securely and labelled correctly. Assist drivers during loading/unloading. Inspect slabs for damage and report any issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment. Perform daily equipment checks (forklift, clamps, cranes, etc.). Prepare orders for dispatch according to picking lists. Help with stock counts and inventory control. Follow health & safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

Experience working in a warehouse, yard, or construction environment. Ability to handle

heavy and fragile materials

safely. Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one). Good level of physical fitness. Strong attention to detail and safety. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

Experience handling stone, glass, granite, marble, or similar materials. Knowledge of warehouse management and stock systems. Experience using slab clamps, gantry cranes, or similar equipment.

Working Hours

Full-time. Overtime may be required during busy periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 48 per week

Work Location: In person
